The Quintuple Penta Blood Bag System is used for collection, preservation, and transfusion of blood for paediatric transfusions or multiple transfusions. Its five-bag configuration allows a single donation to be divided into multiple aliquots.
A variant with a whole blood leukodepletion filter supports collection, preservation, and transfusion of packed red blood cells, whole blood, plasma, cryoprecipitate, and granulocyte concentrates, and is also designed for paediatric or multiple transfusions.
